On October 11th 2023, I was invited at the Forum des Images in Paris with Sabrina Tobal, a fellow artist, and Julie-Anna Grignon (French screenwriter and podcaster) as the host of the opening of the conferences series "Dessin en direct: le Mythe et la Muse" (Live drawing: the Myth and the Muse).

The starting point of this opening night was the actor River Phœnix, who passed away 30 years ago. Sabrina and I came to do live sketches for an hour about actors/actresses and characters that we hold dear, who influenced us and talk about our respective life experiences with art and showcase our portraits of River Phoenix that we prepared in advance for the event. I decided to draw him based on his portrayal of young Indiana Jones, being my first memory of him on screen. For the sketching part, I chose Bill Murray and Harrison Ford as references, while Sabrina went for Xena the warrior princess and Natalie Portman. We ended the conference with the challenge "Draw your Keanu" and picked at random one of Keanu Reeves' iconic role.
